Recapturing community trust and respect for universities is emerging as one of the highest priorities for 2024.
With attacks on the ‘social licence’ of the sector from both parties and the broadest swathe of regulation and reforms on the horizon for decades, there is an urgent need to reimagine how universities can win the hearts of the voting public.
That is one of the reasons why we are inviting marketing, communication, recruitment, alumni, engagement and philanthropy staff from across the country to what is shaping up as one of the most important HE conferences this year – HE FEST 24.
The September conference was conceived by our team because we needed to hear from staff working in Advancement and provide a forum to capture new ideas on how to move forward as institutions and as a sector.
That’s why we have experts in branding and behaviour change from the advertising industry, experts in communications from other sectors, as well as our own experts in the many disciplines that fall within the Advancement portfolio umbrella – to raise the bar collectively.
Today’s issue has a number of stories highlighting the importance of finding new solutions to these issues. Join us in Adelaide to take the discussions further.
