Donna Pendergast (Griffith U) chairs the Queensland Government’s reference group on school bullying. 

Chloe Read is the new MD of TAFE NSW, she has acted since January. According to Skills Minister Steve Whan, the former Department of Education staffer “has a track record of driving change and effective implementation of reform.”

Universities Australia has new board members, Rufus Black (U Tasmania), Harlene Hayne (Curtin U) and Andrew Parfitt (UTS). They join Attila Brungs (UNSW), Carolyn Evans (Griffith U), Renée Leon (Charles Sturt U), Adam Shoemaker (Victoria U) and Zlatko Skrbis (Australian Catholic U). The Board has to elect itself a new president, with David Lloyd (Uni SA) standing down, what with his university about to disappear into the new Adelaide U.

At the Australian Technology Network, Alex Zelinsky (Uni Newcastle) becomes chair and Kent Anderson (ex Uni Newcastle DVC ) becomes Interim ED.
