Research grants: usual unis, usual disciplines

The Australian Research Council announces a new round of the future making and breaking for young academics; the Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA) scheme.

The $86m funding pool is shared by 200 applicants, with a 20 per cent success rate.

It’s business as usual in allocations, with the Group of Eight picking up 123 grants, which is pretty much the norm in large ARC schemes.
