Unimutual sign as First Future Campus Partner

Unimutual, the university-owned organisation that offers property, casualty and specialty risk protection for the sector has signed up as the first Future Campus Partner.

The Future Campus team welcome the 12-month commitment of Unimutual, which is a strong endorsement of importance of a newsletter by the sector, for the sector.

Unimutual’s CEO Geoff Henderson and Future Campus Publisher Tim Winkler announced the new agreement today – the first of a number of planned partnerships for Future Campus.

“Unimutual are member-owned and share a lot of values with Future Campus, so this is a great fit,” Future Campus Publisher Tim Winkler said.

“Both organisations were established for the sector and run by people with experience working in higher education and both are committed to building understanding and improved outcomes.

“From the outset, when we talked with Geoff, he made it clear he really cares about the integrity of our content – so that we can keep delivering stories that matter to people in the sector.

“From our point of view, with regular headlines in relation to the strengthening of cyber security, protecting valuable research and the impacts of climate change on campuses, there are lots of insurance issues that matter to university staff.

“How will a university respond to a significant cyber security attack? What happens if natural disaster affects the building you work in? What is current best practice in protecting valuable research materials from loss or damage? There are loads of current issues where insurance coverage could be significant issue right now.”

Mr Henderson said Unimutual were delighted to collaborate with Future Campus.

“This partnership is a really good fit for us,” Mr Henderson said.

“We are always looking at new ways to improve communication with members, and also to provide better information about the best approach to protecting assets and liabilities to the sector as a whole.

“We look forward to working with the Future Campus team to bring readers information in a form that they want to receive. It’s a new approach to communication that holds a lot of promise.”
