
After a career at the coalface of understanding and responding to the Australian public, Australia’s newest Vice-Chancellor Bill Shorten will provide a keynote address at the Brand Australia 2025 conference.
Mr Shorten worked as a lawyer and then union leader before becoming a Member of Parliament in 2007, rising to become Opposition Leader from 2013-19 and as Minister for the NDIS and Government Services in the Albanese Government’s from 2022 to 2025.
In a bold career change, Mr Shorten was installed as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Canberra in 2025 and brings a unique perspective in relation to the challenges and opportunities ahead in rebuilding social licence with the Australian community.
Mr Shorten will present a Keynote address at the Brand Australia 2025 conference.
The conference is co-facilitated by Future Campus and UC Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Maree Meredith and will be followed by Networking Drinks sponsored by ATN Universities.
