Esther Anatolitis (RMIT honorary ASPRO) joins the council of the National Museum of Australia.

The Australian Academy of Science announces the ECRs to attend this year’s Lindau Nobel Laureates Meeting; Shankar Dutt (ANU), Anna Faber (Uni WA), Caitlin Gare (ANU), Lottie Morrison (Murdoch CRI), Astrid Stubbusch (Monash U), Mike Tebyetekerwa (Uni Queensland), Christophe Valahu (Uni Sydney), Thomas Williams (University of Melbourne), Belinda Zhang (Uni Sydney).

At QUT Abby Cathcart steps up to become ED, Student and Academic Success.

Alison Dellit becomes DG of the National Library of Australia. It is an internal appointment.

Annette Gainsford starts in June as PVC Indigenous at Uni Canberra. She will move from Deakin U.

Tom Goerke ( Curtin U adjunct) is new national president of Engineers Australia.

Andrea Huggins becomes Monash U VP Innovation-Commercialisation. She moves from CSL.

Nalini Pather joins Western Sydney U as Dean of Health Sciences, in the Faculty of Health. She was previously with Uni Queensland.

Kim Robertson becomes Director, of QUT’s Oodgeroo Unit, (“empowering educational and support programs and spaces for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students”). She moves from Charles Darwin U.

Australian expat Lyndal Roper (Uni Oxford) wins the Holberg Prize ($A 880 000) for work in HASS/law/theology. Professor Holberg won the McGill U Cundill Prize in November, for her history of the German Peasants War in the 1520s.

James Smith (Flinders U) is chair of the Medical Research Future Fund Reducing Health Inequities Mission Expert Advisory Panel.
