Andrew Dodd becomes director of the University of Melbourne’s Public Humanities Initiative. It is an internal appointment.

Brigid Freeman joins the ANZ School of Government as senior advisor on regulatory capability. She moves from the School of Education at La Trobe U.

Simon Jackman becomes head of Uni Canberra’s School of Government next month. He has had a range of roles still returning from Stanford U, in 2016.

Uni Canberra VC Bill Shorten becomes chair of UniSport Australia.

Maria Trainer is now ED, Research Quality and Advice at the National Health and Medical Research Council. She moved from the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority.

Andrew Tully (Charles Darwin U) becomes president of the Council of Australasian University Directors of Information Technology.

Uni New England’s deputy chancellor, David van Aanholt steps up to acting chancellor while a replacement is recruited for chancellor Sarah Pearson who has resigned to “focus on her family at a difficult time.”

Greg West is Acting Chancellor of Uni Wollongong, standing in for Michael Stiles who is being investigated by ICAC. Mr West joined the university council in 2018.
